Van passenger alleges she was injured in I-55 crash

Car accident 28

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis woman alleges she was injured in a collision involving a Golliday's Bar & Grill employee.

Barbara Brown filed a complaint on Oct. 23 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against John A. Ross, Golliday's Bar & Grill, Marchelle Enterprises LLC and David Golliday alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 1, 2016, she was a passenger in a motor vehicle being driven by defendant Ross while in the course and scope of his employment with the other defendants traveling on Interstate 55 in McLean County. The suit states Ross was operating a 25-passenger van and caused the commercial vehicle to run off the highway, into the median and crash.

The plaintiff alleges she sustained serious and permanent injuries to her neck, back, spine, head and ankle and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds Ross, Golliday's Bar & Grill, Marchelle Enterprises LLC and Golliday responsible because defendant Ross allegedly negligently drove the vehicle at an excessive speed, failed to keep proper lookout and failed to maintain proper control of the vehicle he was operating.

The seeks judgment against defendants for damages of more than $25,000, plus interest, costs and any further relief as the court deems just and proper. She is represented by Patrick Hinrichs of The Bradley Law Firm in St. Louis.
