ST. LOUIS — A vehicle passenger is suing a motorist for allegedly causing a roadway collision that resulted in injuries.
Sterling McKinney filed a complaint on Oct. 18 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against John Webb, a St. Louis resident, for alleged violation of road safety rules.
According to the complaint, McKinney alleges that on May 14, 2017, he was a passenger in a vehicle traveling northbound on 39th Street when the defendant's car struck the vehicle, causing a collision.
As a result, McKinney claims he suffered physical injuries that aggravated a pre-existing arthritic condition and incurred medical expenses.
The plaintiff holds Webb responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep a careful lookout ahead and laterally, failed to give or sound a warning of his approach and failed to yield the right-of-way.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in excess of $25,000, together with costs expended. He is represented by Allan R. Belliveau of the Koester Law Firm in Clayton, Mo.
