St. Charles resident sues New Jersey motorist for negligence

Car accident 44

ST. LOUIS — A driver from St. Charles is suing a New Jersey motorist, alleging negligence because the driver ran a red light and caused a collision

Cassondra Williams filed a complaint on Oct. 19 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Angela Sanders, alleging that the New Jersey motorist breached her duty to operate her motor vehicle with the highest degree of care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 24, 2015, as a result of a vehicle collision caused by defendant, she sustained injuries to her neck, back, right shoulder, chest, ribs and forearm and incurred medical expenses. The plaintiff holds Sanders responsible because the defendant allegedly violated the red-light traffic signal, failed to yield right-of-way and failed to maintain a constant and careful lookout.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in an amount in excess of $75,000 and any further relief the court deems just. She is represented by Todd I. Muchnick of Muchnick Haber Margolis LC in St. Louis.
