Motorist accused of negligence in South Grand crash

Car accident 12

ST. LOUIS — A motorist is suing another motorist, citing alleged negligence in an accident that allegedly caused her harm.

Destinee Valentine filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Jerron Jones alleging that he failed to maintain his motor vehicle under proper control.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 22, 2015 she was driving a 1997 Tan Chevrolet Cavalier at the intersection of South Grand and Arsenal when the defendant collided with the rear of her vehicle. She allegedly sustained serious and permanent injuries to her head, neck and back, resulting in severe physical and mental pain, as well as medical expenses. The plaintiff holds Jones responsible because he allegedly failed to keep careful lookout and failed to slow down, stop or swerve to avoid collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess of $25,000, court costs and all further relief that the court may deem just and appropriate. Valentine is represented by Ray B. Marglous and Robert S. Merlin of Ray B. Marglous PC in St. Louis.
