Motorist alleges man's negligence led to St. Louis accident

Car accident 17

ST. LOUIS — A motorist is suing another driver, who allegedly failed to yield the right of way and caused an accident at a St. Louis intersection.

Christina Logan filed a complaint on Nov. 17 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Matthew Glaser alleging that he negligently disobeyed a traffic control device.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 16, 2017, she was driving a 2002 Honda CRV traveling westbound on Carr Street at its intersection with North Broadway Street when the defendant negligently entered the intersection and caused the vehicle he was driving to violently collide with the driver's side of her vehicle. She allegedly sustained severe and permanent injuries to her back, abdomen, neck and chest; and was forced to incur medical expenses in the amount of $33,573.13. The plaintiff holds Glaser responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to yield the right of way, operated his vehicle at a speed greater than reasonable and failed to use ordinary care to avoid collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages of more than $25,000, plus costs of this action, and all further relief that the court may deem just and proper. She is represented by Jason B. Going of the  Law office of Jason B. Going in Belleville and Kevin Boyne of Kevin Boyne PC in Belleville.
