Driver, passenger claim negligence in Goodfellow crash

Car accident 16

ST. LOUIS — A driver and passenger are suing another motorist, citing alleged negligence.

Mykeya Campbell and Myeka Campbell filed a complaint on Nov. 9 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Linda Lester, alleging that the motorist failed to exercise the highest degree of care under the circumstances.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Oct. 26, 2016 they were in a motor vehicle traveling southbound on Goodfellow Boulevard when the defendant negligently caused her motor vehicle to collide with their vehicle. They sustained injuries to their head, neck and back resulting in great physical pain, mental anguish and medical expenses.

The plaintiffs hold Lester responsible because the defendant allegedly carelessly made an improper u-turn, failed to maintain careful lookout and failed to yield right of way.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages of more than $25,000 for each of them, plus costs of this action, and any further relief as the court deems just and proper. They are represented by Robert H. Pedroli Jr. and Eric A. Ruttencutter of Pedroli & Gauthier in Clayton.
