ST. LOUIS — A healthcare services provider is suing a former employee and competitor, citing alleged tortious interference with a contract.
The company 1st Choice Home Health Services LLC filed a complaint on Nov. 13 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Karla Martin and Your Home Our Heart LLC, alleging that they communicated false and misleading statements to third parties.
According to the complaint, 1st Choice alleges that as a result of defendants' conduct, the plaintiff has suffered loss of business, income and profits, and damage to reputation. The plaintiff holds Martin and Your Home Our Heart responsible because the defendants allegedly wrongfully used the plaintiff's confidential and proprietary information, contacted and convinced the plaintiff's clients to switch services to them, and refused to return said informations.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants, jointly and severally, in excess of $100,000, court costs, attorney's fees, and any further relief that the court deems just and proper.
