ST. LOUIS — A motor vehicle driver is suing another driver, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.
Germel Lacy filed a complaint on Dec. 6 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Davonte Drummer alleging that the other driver failed to obey a traffic sign.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 13, 2016 he was driving his motor vehicle westbound along St. Louis Avenue when the defendant negligently disregarded a stop sign and collided with his vehicle. Lacy allegedly sustained serious and permanent injuries to his neck, back, legs, lumbar spine and other parts of his body. He also allegedly suffered lost wages of approximately $2,000 and medical expenses in the sum of $9,000.
The plaintiff holds Drummer responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to yield the right of way, failed to keep proper lookout, and failed to reduce speed or stop.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks judgment against the defendant in a fair amount of more than $25,000, costs for bringing this action, and such other relief that may be deemed just and proper. He is represented by William K. Meehan of Meehan Law Firm in University City.
