ST. LOUIS — A motorist is suing another driver alleging negligence.
Leslie Reed-Rowry filed a complaint on Dec. 12 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Sarah Jones alleging that she failed to exercise the highest degree of care while operating a motor vehicle.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 1, 2017 she was operating a motor vehicle traveling eastbound on West Florissant Avenue near its intersection with Thrush Avenue when she was rear ended by the defendant's vehicle. She allegedly sustained injuries to her neck and back that resulted in medical expenses of $9,000, and will continue to be liable for future hospital and medical care expenses.
The plaintiff holds Jones responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain careful lookout, and failed to reduce speed, stop or swerve to avoid striking her vehicle.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks judgment against defendant for damages of more than $25,000, plus costs of this action, and all other relief that the court may deem just and proper. She is represented by William E. Sorrell of Sorrell & Traube in St, Louis.
