ST. LOUIS — Two vehicle passengers are suing St. Louis County Cab Company Inc., citing alleged negligent entrustment.
Nicole Whitfield and Jakelle Brown filed a complaint on Dec. 8 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against St. Louis County Cab Company alleging that the taxicab operator negligently entrusted its vehicle to a careless driver.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 8 the defendant's agent/employee Roy Weiner carelessly entered the intersection of Lassalle Street and Montrose Avenue, and struck the vehicle in which they were passengers. They allegedly received injuries to their head, neck, back and other parts of their bodies.
The plaintiffs hold St. Louis County Cab Company responsible because the defendant's employee/agent Weiner allegedly failed to obey the traffic signal and failed to yield the right of way.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess of $25,000, plus costs herein expended. They are represented by Johnathan A. McAllister of McAllister Law Firm LLC in St. Louis.
