ST. LOUIS — A vehicle driver is suing another motorist for allegedly making an illegal U-turn and causing a collision.
David Walker filed a complaint on Dec. 13 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Dion Flenoid alleging that the defendant operated his vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner.
According to the complaint, Walker alleges that on March 18, 2017, he was lawfully operating his vehicle on West Ridge Avenue at the intersection with Union Boulevard when his vehicle was involved in a collision due to Flenoid attempting to negotiate an illegal U-turn on Union.
As a result, Walker claims he sustained physical injuries, disability and medical expenses.
The plaintiff holds Flenoid responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to yield the right of way, failed to slacken his speed, swerve or stop before colliding with another vehicle, and failed to exercise the highest degree of care to keep a lookout.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks judgment to compensate for injuries in an amount that is fair and reasonable, plus attorney's fees, costs, and all other damages that the court deems just and equitable. He is represented by Al W. Johnson of New Covenant Legal Services in St. Louis.
