ST. LOUIS — A woman is suing her insurance company, alleging breach of contract.
Tiffany Hunter-Storz filed a complaint on Dec. 5 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Progressive Preferred Insurance Company alleging that the licensed insurer violated the covenant of good faith and fair dealing.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 28, 2016 she sustained injuries to her back and neck that caused her to incur medical and other healthcare expenses due to an accident caused by an underinsured motorist. At the time of the accident, the vehicle she was operating was covered by an insurance policy issued by the defendant.
The plaintiff holds Progressive Preferred Insurance Company responsible because the defendant allegedly refused to pay her damages, which allegedly were covered by the insurance policy.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks judgment against the defendant in excess of $75,000, costs of this action and such other relief that is appropriate. She is represented by Scott L. Kolker of DeFeo & Kolker in St. Louis.
