ST. LOUIS — A tenant is suing her landlords, alleging negligence and premises liability.
Candy Marsh filed a complaint on Dec. 19 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against MPH Real Estate Development LLC and SM-T.E.H. Realty 8 LLC, alleging that they failed to maintain her apartment building in a reasonably safe condition.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 6, 2016, she was in the foyer of her apartment building when the window to the right of her apartment fell onto her head. She suffered contusions and/or lacerations on the head, neck, right leg knee and hands. She filed a demand for settlement for this case for $20,000.
The plaintiff holds MPH Real Estate and SM-T.E.H. Realty responsible because the defendants allegedly refused plaintiff's demand for payment.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $25,000, plus interest and costs of this action. She is represented by Walter L. Floyd of The Floyd Law Firm PC in St. Louis.
