ST. LOUIS — A passenger is suing a motor vehicle driver, alleging negligence.
Rayford Daniels filed a complaint on Dec. 29 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Marcus Mickles alleging that he failed to keep his vehicle under control.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 10, 2016 he was a passenger in a motor vehicle stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Rosedale and Des Peres when the defendant suddenly collided with the rear of the vehicle. He allegedly sustained serious and permanent injuries to his low back, right lower extremities, pelvis, hip and neck; and incurred medical chiropractic care expenses in excess of $11,700.
The plaintiff holds Mickles responsible because he allegedly failed to maintain a safe distance and failed to take evasive actions at the first appearance of danger to avoid collision.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks compensation in excess of $25,000, costs expended for this action, and any further relief as the court may deem just and fair. He is represented by Thomas Traube of Sorrell & Traube in St. Louis.
