ST. LOUIS — An automobile driver is suing another motorist, alleging negligence.
Cyril Moore filed a complaint on Jan. 9 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Apryl Washington alleging that she breached her duty to exercise the highest degree of care while operating a motor vehicle.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 22, 2017 he was stopped at a red light signal on North Broadway when the defendant's vehicle suddenly struck his vehicle from behind. He allegedly sustained personal injuries to his neck and back that caused him to suffer decreased function and mobility, pain and suffering, and other damages.
The plaintiff holds Washington responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep careful lookout for other vehicles on the road, and failed to slacken speed, stop or swerve to avoid a collision.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks damages of not less than $25,000, costs of this action, and all further relief as the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by Kyle Kleefus of Law Offices of Derald L. Gab in St. Louis.
