AMCO Insurance accused of breach of contract

Insurance 03

ST. LOUIS — A policy owner is suing an insurance company, citing alleged breach of contract.

Kap Sun Kim filed a complaint on Jan. 10 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against AMCO Insurance Company alleging that the defendant breached the insurance contract by not complying with the provisions agreed in the contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in July 2015 he was lawfully driving westbound on Interstate 70 when his vehicle was struck by an uninsured motorist who allegedly failed to look out as she was merging into the left lane. The plaintiff claims he filed a claim as his insurance policy contained uninsured motorist coverage, but allegedly did not receive any coverage from the defendant despite complying with all of the conditions precedent to the policy.

The plaintiff holds AMCO Insurance Company responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and refused to pay reasonable sums as contained in the uninsured motorist coverage.
