ST. LOUIS — Two women are suing a driver, alleging negligence.
Cerise Leachman and Nekeidra Humphrey filed a complaint on Jan. 10 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Adam Springer alleging that he breached his duty to maintain proper control of the motor vehicle he was driving.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Sept. 9, 2016 they were traveling northbound on Tower Grove Avenue entering its intersection with Shaw Boulevard when the defendant, who was coming from the opposite direction, carelessly made a left turn and struck their vehicle. They allegedly sustained injuries all over their bodies, resulting in lost wages and medical expenses.
The plaintiffs hold Springer responsible because the he allegedly failed to pay attention on the roadway, failed to yield the right of way and failed to make evasive actions at the first appearance of danger.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury; and seek damages in a fair and reasonable amount in excess of $25,000, plus interest and any further relief that the court may deem appropriate. They are represented by James W. Eason of The Eason Law Firm LLC in St. Louis.
