ST. LOUIS — A motorist is suing another driver, citing alleged negligence.
Patrick Enlow filed a complaint on Jan. 15 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Michelle Melvin alleging that she failed to operate her motor vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 17, 2017 he was stopped on Barnes Hospital Plaza when the defendant carelessly backed her vehicle into the front side of the plaintiff's vehicle. He allegedly incurred medical expenses in excess of $4,700 and motor vehicle damage of more than $4,000.
The plaintiff holds Melvin responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep careful lookout and failed to take evasive actions to avoid the accident.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks damages in a fair and reasonable amount of more than $25,000, plus costs of this action, and any further relief as the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by William E. Sorrell of Sorrell & Traube in St Louis.
