ST. LOUIS — A motorcyclist is suing the City of St. Louis, alleging negligence.

Daniel L. Wolf filed a complaint on Jan. 19 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against  theCity of St. Louis alleging that it  breached its duty to maintain the roadway in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 25, 2017, he was involved in a single-vehicle accident while traveling on South Kingshighway Boulevard near its intersection with Bancroft Avenue when he encountered an uneven area on the roadway, causing him to lose control of his motorcycle and hit a concrete pole. He sustained serious, painful and permanent injuries to his right foot, toes, ankles and leg that required surgical intervention.

The plaintiff holds the City of St. Louis responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to make adequate and timely repairs, and failed to barricade the area or place warnings signs to prevent motorist from traveling in the area.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks damages of not less than $25,000, plus interest, costs, and any further relief that the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by Patrick R. Dowd, Eric D. Holland and R. Seth Crompton of Holland Law Firm in St. Louis.
