Motorist allegedly ran stop light, causing T-bone collision

Car accident 25

ST. LOUIS — A motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence.

Andre Brown filed a complaint on Jan. 31 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Randal McClure alleging that he breached his duty to operate a motor vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 2, 2013 he was driving a 2010 Nissan Altima westbound on Lansdowne Avenue with a green light when a defendant negligently violated the stop light and and caused a T-bone collision with his vehicle. He sustained injuries to his head, neck, shoulders and arms; and was caused to incur medical expenses in the amount of $160,779.15.

The plaintiff holds McClure responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently operated his vehicle at a high, excessive and dangerous speed, failed to maintain careful lookout, and failed to obey traffic signal.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks damages of more than $25,000, pre-judgment interest and costs of this action. He is represented by John A. Bouhasin of Bouhasin Law Firm PC in St. Louis.
