Cincinnati Insurance, others sued by pedestrian hit by car

Contract 09

ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis City couple is suing The Cincinnati Insurance Co., Assured Partners of Missouri and Michelle Conway, licensed insurers and motorist, alleging breach of contract and negligence.

David Grelle and Katherine Grelle filed a complaint on Feb. 12 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that Conway failed to maintain proper control of her vehicle so as not to injure others.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Nov. 2, 2016 David Grelle sustained severe, permanent progressive injuries when he was struck by a motor vehicle driven by Conway, who was underinsured. David Grelle allegedly has suffered medical expenses and loss of potential earnings in excess of $1 million.

The plaintiffs made a claim for payment from the underinsured motorist excess umbrella coverage that they held. The plaintiffs holds The Cincinnati Insurance Co. and Assured Partners of Missouri responsible because the insurance companies allegedly denied coverage to the plaintiffs' claim.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury; and seek judgment against defendants in excess of $25,000, plus costs of this action, and all further relief as the court deems just and proper. They are represented by Anthony S. Bruning, Anthony S. Bruning Jr., Ryan Bruning and Eddie Roth of The Bruning Law Firm LLC in St. Louis.
