ST. LOUIS — A student is suing school bus operators and a motorist, alleging negligence.
Geniah Dennis, a minor by next friend Cearia Moore, filed a complaint on Feb. 12 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against First Student Inc., Robert Douglas and Henry Jackson, alleging that they failed to exercise the highest degree of care for all motorist and their students.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 22, 2017 she was a passenger in a school bus owned by First Student and driven by Douglas when it was struck by a truck driven by Jackson at the intersection of Meramee Street and 38th Street. She allegedly sustained injuries to her back and head, and has incurred medical expenses in excess of $6,000.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks damages in a reasonable amount greater than $25,000, plus costs of this action, and any further relief that the court may deem just and proper. She is represented by Jared Gab of the Law Offices of Derald L. Gab PC in St. Louis.
