ST. LOUIS — A passenger is suing Jennifer Baggett and Hadiyah Edwards, two motor vehicle drivers, alleging negligence.
Lou Ann Dunn filed a complaint on Feb. 15 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that they failed to operate their motor vehicles in a careful and prudent manner.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 29, 2014 she was a passenger in a motor vehicle driven by Baggett traveling southbound on Kingshighway Boulevard at its intersection with Interstate 40/64 when Edwards suddenly stopped in front of them and caused Baggett's car to collide with Edwards' vehicle. Dunn allegedly suffered injuries to her neck and back, and incurred medical expenses in excess of $34,000.
The plaintiff holds Baggett and Edwards responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to maintain careful lookout and negligently operated their vehicles in such a way to cause harm to others.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury, and seeks damages of not less than $25,000 and all further relief as the court deems appropriate. She is represented by Shaun M. Falyey of Goldblatt + Singer PC in St. Louis.
