ST. LOUIS — A motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence.

Richard Lewis filed a complaint on Feb. 14 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Matthew Bier alleging that he  failed to maintain proper control of his vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 14, 2016his vehicle was stalled on Interstate 270 when the defendant's vehicle veered into the rear of his vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The violent impact allegedly caused him to sustained injuries to his head, neck, pelvis and chest.

The plaintiff holds Bier responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently drove his vehicle at a dangerous speed, failed to be attentive and failed to maintain a safe distance.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount consistent with the jurisdictional limits of the court, and all other relief that the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by Lorenzo Hester of The Hester Group LLC in St. Louis.
