Insurance 03

ST. LOUIS — An individual is suing Owners Insurance Company for allegedly breaching an insurance contract.

Larry G. Crismon Jr. filed a complaint on Feb. 16 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant violated the covenant of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 22, 2014, he was a passenger in a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse owned by his employer, Auto Shop Inc., and driven by a customer when the vehicle was allegedly struck by an underinsured motorist. The plaintiff allegedly filed a claim for underinsured motorist benefits in an amount exceeding $50,000 under the policy that was allegedly issued by the defendant. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing and refusing to pay him for his damages.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in his favor in excess of $25,000, plus interest, costs and all further relief that the court deems necessary and just. He is represented by Christopher K. Geldmacher of Sauter + Sullivan LLC in St. Louis.
