ST. LOUIS — A motorist is suing Abbott Ambulance Inc. for alleged negligent entrustment.
Josephine Davis filed a complaint on Feb. 19 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant negligently entrusted its ambulance to a careless driver.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was driving her motor vehicle northbound on Shreve Avenue near Natural Bridge Avenue on June 5, 2016 when the defendant's ambulance allegedly entered the intersection and collided with her vehicle. She allegedly sustained injuries to her neck, head, left foot, left knee, left arm and back. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because its driver allegedly breached its duty to exercise the highest degree of care by failing to maintain a careful lookout and yield right of way.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in a fair and reasonable amount of more than $25,000, plus the costs of this action and all other relief that the court may deem just and proper. She is represented by Kyle Kleefus of Law Offices of Derald L. Gab in St. Louis.
