ST. LOUIS — A driver is suing Mathius Wesley Harris, another driver, for alleged negligence.
Bridget Gierer filed a complaint on Feb. 19 in the St. Louis Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant breached his duty to operate his motor vehicle in a careful manner.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was operating her 2008 Chrysler Town and County minivan while traveling northbound on Union Boulevard on Jan. 25 when the defendant allegedly made a left turn directly into her path, which allegedly caused a violent collision. She claims that she sustained injuries to her right arm that resulted in medical expenses, lost wages and discomfort. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly driving his vehicle at an excessive rate of speed and for allegedly attempting to make a left turn when it was allegedly not safe to do so.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess of the jurisdictional limits of the court, plus interest, costs and all further relief that is appropriate given the circumstances. She is represented by Scott L. Kolker of Defeo & Kolker LLC in Clayton.
