Hunt Vac Services accused of wrongful termination

Wrongful term 06

ST. LOUIS — A former employee is suing Hunt Vac Services LLC, alleging discrimination, retaliation and constructive discharge.

Robert Hummel filed a complaint on Feb. 20 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Hunt Vac Services alleging that the employer violated the Missouri Workers' Compensation Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that due to on-the-job injuries he suffered, he was constructively discharged on Feb. 27, 2017. As a result, he has suffered and will continue to suffer irreparable injury, lost wages and benefits, loss of opportunity, pain and suffering, and monetary damages.

The plaintiff holds Hunt Vac Services responsible because the defendant allegedly discriminated and retaliated against him, and constructively discharged him to preempt his workers' compensation claim.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks damages of more than $25,000, plus costs, interest, and any other relief as the court deems just and proper. He is represented by John H. Moffitt III and Jeremy D. Hollingshead of Hollingshead & Dudley in St. Louis.
