ST. LOUIS — A motorist is suing a tractor trailer owner and driver, alleging negligence.

Ghandi Lutfeyyah filed a complaint on Feb. 28 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against P.A.M. Transport. Loren Stevenson and others alleging that Stevenson failed to exercise the highest degree of care to avoid the accident.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 20, 2013 he was driving a motor vehicle northbound on Interstate 55 in St. Louis when Stevenson, who was operating a tractor-trailer within the scope of his employment with P.A.M.s, violently collided with his vehicle. He allegedly sustained severe injuries to his shoulders, cervical spine, back, spinal column, vertebrae and limbs; and was caused to incur medical expenses of at least $32,682.97.

The plaintiff holds P.A.M. Transport. Stevenson, and others responsible because Stevenson allegedly failed to maintain careful lookout, failed to yield, failed to keep proper distance and failed to take evasive actions at the first appearance of danger.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $25,000, plus costs of this action, and any other relief that the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by Rob Lutfiyya and Amanda Reiter of Lutfiyya Law Firm LLC in Brentwood.
