ST. LOUIS — A motorist is suing Charity Davis, another motorist, alleging negligence.
Ebony Gilmore filed a complaint on March 2 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Davis alleging that she negligently failed to exercise the highest degree of care in operating her motor vehicle.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 1, 2017 she was stopped on the ramp from I-55 to Loughborough when the defendant hit her vehicle. She allegedly sustained injuries to her neck, back, legs, arms and head.
The plaintiff holds Davis responsible because the defendant allegedly carelessly drove her vehicle while distracted, failed to maintain careful lookout, and failed to swerve, slow down or stop to avoid a collision.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks damages of more than $25,000, and all other relief that the court may deem just and proper. She is represented by Darin W. Sorrell of Sorrell & Traube in St. Louis.
