Bi-State bus passenger claims motorist negligent in crash

Car accident 45

ST. LOUIS — A bus passenger is suing a motorist, alleging negligence.

Chiquita Welch filed a complaint on March 2 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Bradley Anderson alleging that he failed to operate his motor vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 17, 2017, she was a passenger in a Bi-State bus when the defendant negligently caused a collision between his vehicle and the bus. She suffered injuries to her neck, back and legs; and incurred medical care and treatment expenses.

The plaintiff holds Anderson responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain proper control of the vehicle he was driving.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks damages in a fair and reasonable amount in excess of $25,000, plus costs of this action, and all further relief as the court may deem proper and just. She is represented by Theodore H. Hoffman and Steven M. Gelfman of Hoffman & Gelfman Attorneys PC in St. Louis.
