ST. LOUIS — A motorist is suing Marc A. McNeese, alleging negligence.
Linda Shell filed a complaint on Feb. 23 in the St. Louis Circuit Court alleging McNeese breached his duty to safely operate a motor vehicle so as not to cause injury to others.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 20, 2016 she was driving on Vista Avenue when the defendant carelessly backed his vehicle up and collided with plaintiff's vehicle. She allegedly sustained serious injuries both internally and externally, and incurred medical expenses of more than $5,700 and damage to her vehicle in excess of $1,000.
The plaintiff holds McNeese responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain careful lookout, failed to yield the right of way and failed to stop to avoid a collision.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks damages of not less than $25,000 but not more than $75,000, and any further relief that the court may deem fair and just. She is represented by Thomas Traube of Sorrell & Traube in St. Louis.
