ST. LOUIS – A widow has filed suit against her late husband's employer over allegations it allowed an employee to engage in illegal drug use on its property.

Amanda Moses filed a complaint on March 8 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Gateway Automotive Recycling LLC alleging wrongful death.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan 2, 2017, her husband, Keith Moses, was an employee of the defendant and suffered an accidental drug overdose and died. The plaintiff alleges the drugs given to her late husband were provided by defendant's employee/agent Robert Rucker and the drugs were consumed on the defendant's property.

The plaintiff alleges she suffered loss of society, comfort and economic support and services of her husband and also incurred funeral expenses of approximately $8,000.

The plaintiff holds Gateway Automotive Recycling LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to supervise Rucker and allowed him to use illegal drugs in its premises.

The plaintiff seeks damages in a fair and reasonable amount of more than $25,000, plus costs of the action and all further relief as the court may deem just and proper. She is represented by William K. Meehan of Meehan Law Firm in University City.
