Woman seeks more than $25,000 from driver over St. Louis collision

Car accident 02

ST. LOUIS – A woman alleges she sustained injuries to her back after her vehicle was rear-ended at a St. Louis intersection.

India Carr-Burrus filed a complaint on March 15 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Jamauri Green alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 19, 2016, she was in a motor vehicle and was stopped at the intersection between North Kingshighway Boulevard and Barnes Jewish Hospital Plaza in St. Louis when the defendant failed to stop and collided with the rear of her vehicle. She alleges she suffered injuries to her lower back.

The plaintiff holds Green responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently drove his vehicle at an excessive rate of speed, failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to yield to the right of way.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant of more than $25,000, plus interest, costs and any further relief as the court deems just and proper. She is represented by Matthew J. Sauter of Sauter Sullivan LLC in St. Louis.
