Man alleges Zimmer Biomet Holdings, Select Orthopedics knee device failed

Medical malpractice 07

ST. LOUIS – A St. Charles County resident alleges a knee implant failed and caused him to need further surgery.

Ronald Tindall filed a complaint on March 20 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Zimmer Biomet Holdings Inc., Select Orthopedics, et al. alleging negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that as a result of the failure of defendants' Biomet Oxford Unicompartmental knee device, he underwent emergency removal of the device and implantation of a non-defective device.

The plaintiff holds Zimmer Biomet Holdings Inc., Select Orthopedics, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly falsely represented that their knee device was safe for its intended use and negligently designed it.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and punitive damages, litigation costs and expenses and all further relief as the court may deem just and necessary. He is represented by Brian Stokes of The Stokes Law Office in St. Louis.
