Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church seeks damages from driver who struck building

Car accident 28

ST. LOUIS – A church alleges a driver caused nearly $30,000 in damages after he struck their building.

Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church filed a complaint on March 23 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Andre Charles Williams alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 20, 2017, the defendant was operating his motor vehicle traveling westbound on Park Avenue when he struck plaintiff's building while attempting to make a right turn onto South Compton Street. The suit states the plaintiff's building sustained actual damages and depreciation in value.

The plaintiff holds Williams responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain careful lookout and failed to keep his vehicle under proper control.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in the amount of $29,381.70 plus costs of this action. It is represented by Michael A. Finley of Miller & Steeno PC in St. Louis.
