Bus passenger alleges J.B. Hunt Logistics driver failed to maintain careful lookout

Car accident 38

ST. LOUIS – A bus passenger is seeking damages from a transportation company and its driver after a collision in St. Louis.

Jesse Robinson III filed a complaint on March 27 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Larry Metz and J.B. Hunt Logistics Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 17, 2016, he was a passenger in a Bi-State Gillig Bus when the vehicle driven by defendant Metz suddenly collided with rear of the bus. The suit states Metz was an employee of J.B. Hunt at the time of the collision. The plaintiff alleges he sustained serious and permanent injuries to his head, neck and back, resulting in pain and anguish, disability, disfigurement and medical expenses of approximately $13,146.45 as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Metz and J.B. Hunt Logistics Inc. responsible because defendant Metz allegedly failed to maintain careful lookout.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $25,000, plus costs of this action and all further relief as the court may deem appropriate. He is represented by Ray B. Marglous, Robert S. Merlin and Sarah H. Hale of Ray B. Marglous PC in St. Louis.
