Woman alleges driver's illegal U-turn caused collision

Car accident 16

ST. LOUIS – A woman alleges that a Madison County, Illinois resident struck her vehicle in St. Louis while attempting to make an illegal U-turn.

Jessica Smith filed a complaint in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Kylie Williams alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 19, 2017, she was driving a motor vehicle traveling southbound on Kingshighway in St. Louis and the defendant struck the front passenger side of her vehicle when the defendant attempted to make an illegal U-turn. She alleges she sustained injuries to her neck and back as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Williams responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to be attentive and maintain a vigilant lookout and failed to take evasive actions at the first appearance of danger.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $25,000, plus costs of this action. She is represented by Jonathan A. McAllister of McAllister Law Firm LLC in St. Louis.
