Woman claims Progressive refused to pay uninsured motorist benefits per policy

Insurance 11

ST. LOUIS – An individual is seeking uninsured motorist coverage from her insurer over alleged damages from an Interstate 270 collision.

Wilma Conner filed a complaint on April 5 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Progressive Casualty Insurance Co. alleging breach of policy.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 3, 2017, she was injured when her vehicle was struck by Darrin Little, an uninsured motorist, on an Interstate 270 exit ramp. She alleges she sustained permanent and progressive injuries to her neck, back, hips and shoulders. She alleges the defendant failed and refused to pay her for damages under the uninsured motorist provision of the policy.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess of the jurisdictional limits of the court and all further relief that are appropriate under the circumstances. She is represented by Brent E. Labovitz of DeFeo and Kolker LLC in Clayton.
