Woman alleges St. Louis County Cab Co. employee failed to yield, caused collision

Car accident 09

ST. LOUIS – A woman alleges she incurred more than $4,000 in medical bills after a collision with a taxi cab.

Linda Billingsley filed a complaint on April 13 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against St. Louis County Cab Co. Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 16, 2017, she was driving a motor vehicle traveling northbound on North Spring near Washington Avenue in St. Louis when she was struck by a vehicle operated by defendant's employee. She alleges she sustained injuries to her back, neck and shoulder and incurred medical expenses of more than $4,820.46 as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds St. Louis County Cab Co. Inc. responsible because defendant's employee allegedly failed to maintain a careful lookout, failed to yield and failed to reduce speed, swerve or stop to avoid a collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in a fair and reasonable amount and all further relief as the court may deem reasonable and just. She is represented by Spencer A. Farris of The S.E. Farris Law Firm in St. Louis.
