ST. LOUIS – A Metro passenger has filed suit against the entity and a driver over injuries she alleges she sustained when she fell while riding a bus.

Effie Darlene Kramer filed a complaint on April 12 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Bi-State Development Agency of Missouri-Illinois Metropolitan District, doing business as Metro, and John Doe alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 4, 2014, she was a passenger on defendant Metro's bus, driven by defendant Doe. She alleges she boarded the bus but before she could find a seat, Doe caused the bus to move and caused her to fall. She alleges she sustained severe, permanent and progressive injuries to her leg, right foot and low back as a result.

The plaintiff holds Bi-State Development Agency of Missouri-Illinois Metropolitan District and Doe responsible because defendant Doe allegedly failed to follow defendant Metro's policies and procedures and failed to maintain careful lookout while operating a bus.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in a fair and reasonable amount, plus costs of this action, interest and any further relief as the court may deem proper and just. She is represented by S. Lee Patton of Lee Patton Law in Kirkwood, Missouri.
