Schaeffer Mfg. Co. alleged to have failed to honor contract with sales rep

Contract 09

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis-headquartered manufacturing company is alleged to have terminated a sales representative and failing to honor a contract.

Raymond D. Wright filed a complaint on April 25 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Schaeffer Mfg. Co. alleging breach of contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is a former sales representative of the defendant who was terminated on December 2016. The plaintiff alleges he did not breach any provision of the sales agreement with the defendant and that the defendant has not continued to pay him under the terms of the agreement.

The plaintiff holds Schaeffer Mfg. Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly terminated him for cause when none existed and failed to continue to pay the plaintiff at the rate in effect on the date of the termination per their agreement.

The plaintiff seeks compensatory and punitive damages in an amount of more than $25,000 and any further relief as the court may deem appropriate. He is represented by D. Eric Sowers, Ferne P. Wolf, Jill A. Silverstein and Joshua M. Pierson of Sowers & Wolf LLC in St. Louis.
