Owner alleges Dodge Charger was total loss after driver ran light, struck vehicle

Car accident 27

ST. LOUIS – The owner of a Dodge Charger alleges the car was a total loss after a collision at a St. Louis intersection.

Imani Clay and Gary Dorsey filed a complaint on April 26 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Thomas Fitzgerald alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Nov. 16, 2014, they were in a 2014 Dodge Charger traveling southbound on McCausland in St. Louis and making a left turn at Arsenal Street when defendant struck their vehicle. The suit states Clay sustained injuries to her back, neck and shoulders, while Dorsey suffered total loss of his Dodge Charger.

The plaintiffs hold Fitzgerald responsible because the defendant allegedly violated the red light traffic signal, failed to maintain a careful lookout and failed to yield to oncoming traffic.

The plaintiffs seek judgment in favor of each plaintiff in an amount greater than $25,000, plus costs and any further relief as the court deems just and proper. They are represented by Jeffrey P. Medler of Medler & Roither LLC in Clayton.
