Father files suit against Eric Doyle Trucking over collision that caused fatal injuries to minor

Car accident 01

ST. LOUIS – A father and his minor children are seeking damages from an Illinois company over a collision in St. Louis that resulted in a minor's death.

Minors Eli Coley, Quincee Coley and London Coley, by and through their father, Eddie Coley, filed a complaint on April 24 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Eric Doyle Trucking LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on April 6, Eli Coley, Quincee Coley and London Coley were passengers in a motor vehicle driven by Candace Woods in St. Louis when their vehicle was struck by the vehicle driven by defendant's employee, Andrew Caudle. The suit states Eli Coley suffered personal injuries that resulted in his death and plaintiffs Quincee Coley and London Coley sustained injuries to their heads, necks, backs and torsos.

The plaintiffs holds Eric Doyle Trucking LLC responsible because the defendant's employee allegedly improperly used the lane of traffic, failed to maintain careful lookout and negligently allowed his vehicle to collide with Woods' vehicle.

The plaintiffs seek compensation for loss of companionship and comfort for the loss of Eli Coley and for the injuries suffered by Quincee Coley and London Coley, costs of this action and any further relief as the court may deem proper and just.

They are represented by David B. Granat of The Granat Law Office LLC in St. Louis.
