Pedestrian seeks damages from driver over St. Louis collision

Car accident 03

ST. LOUIS – A pedestrian alleges she incurred nearly $20,000 in medical expenses after she was struck by a vehicle in St. Louis.

Yvonne Harriel filed a complaint on April 25 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Justice King alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 28, 2014, she was walking across Kingshighway Boulevard when she was hit by the defendant. She alleges she sustained injuries to her neck, left shoulder, left hip and back and incurred medical expenses of almost $20,000 as a result of the crash.

The plaintiff holds King responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently drove his vehicle at an excessive rate of speed and failed to maintain a careful lookout.

The plaintiff seeks damages of no less than $25,000, plus interest, costs and all further relief as the court may deem proper and just. She is represented by Matthew J. Sauter of Sauter Sullivan LLC in St. Louis.
