Geico Casualty consumer alleges she is entitled to uninsured motorist coverage

Contract 03

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis County woman alleges her insurer has failed to pay her reasonable sum to compensate her for injuries sustained in an auto accident.

Belinda Herrod filed a complaint on April 24 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Geico Casualty Co. alleging vexation refusal to pay.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 1, 2017, she was involved in a motor vehicle accident negligently caused by an underinsured motorist on Park Avenue in the St. Louis. She alleges she sustained serious and permanent injuries and damages for which she attempted to negotiate a settlement of the underinsured claim with defendant, but was unsuccessful.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant for damages, plus interest, attorney's fees and all further relief as the court may deem proper and just. She is represented by Suzanne M. Besnia of Riezman Berger PC in Clayton, Missouri.
