Motorist alleges man who improperly changed lanes caused St. Louis collision

Car accident 25

ST. LOUIS – A motorist alleges sustained injuries to his back and knee after another driver made an improper lane change.

Keith Hall filed a complaint on May 10 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Gerry Ridens alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 10, 2013, he was driving his motor vehicle traveling on North Kingshighway near its intersection with Maryland Place in St. Louis when the defendant struck his vehicle. The plaintiff alleges he sustained injuries to his back and left knee and incurred medical expenses of $4,000.

The plaintiff holds Ridens responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently merged into his lane of travel when it was unsafe to do so, failed to give any signal or warning of the approach and failed to maintain careful lookout.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $25,000, plus costs of this action and all further relief that the court deems just and proper. He is represented by Cecil L. Skaggs of Central West End Law Office in St. Louis.
