Woman alleges injuries after rear-end collision in St. Louis

Car accident 10

ST. LOUIS – A woman alleges she suffered injuries to her leg, neck and back after her vehicle was rear-ended in St. Louis.

Velma Lofties filed a complaint on April 27 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Carmen Bogan alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 15, 2017, she was driving northbound on Kingshighway at or near its intersection with Lindell Boulevard in St. Louis when she was rear-ended by the defendant. She alleges she sustained injuries to her right leg, neck and back and also suffered diminution in the fair market value of her vehicle, medical expenses and loss of use of her vehicle.

The plaintiff holds Bogan responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently drove her vehicle at an excessive rate of speed and failed to maintain a careful lookout.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in a fair and reasonable amount, plus interest, costs and all further relief that the court may deem proper and just. She is represented by Matthew J. Sauter of Sauter Sullivan LLC in St. Louis.
