ST. LOUIS – A man alleges he incurred more than $11,000 in medical expenses for injuries he sustained when a tractor-trailer backed into his vehicle.
Teron Williams filed a complaint on April 27 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Spire Missouri Inc. alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 22, 2017, he was parked on Delmar Boulevard in St. Louis behind the Freightliner truck and trailer owned by defendant and driven by its employee Kevin McCarthy. The plaintiff alleges McCarthy backed the trailer into his car, causing injuries to his neck, shoulder, left wrist and abdomen.
The plaintiff holds Spire Missouri Inc. responsible because defendant's employee allegedly failed to maintain a careful lookout and improperly backed up.
The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $25,000, plus interest, costs and all further relief as the court may deem proper and just. He is represented by Matthew J. Sauter of Sauter Sullivan LLC in St. Louis.
