Woman alleges collision on North Kingshighway caused by driver's failure to yield

Car accident 27

ST. LOUIS – A woman alleges she was injured in a collision caused by a motorist who failed to yield to oncoming traffic.

Marcella Stevenson filed a complaint on May 24 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Sharetha Martin alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan 2, 2015, she was driving her motor vehicle traveling northbound on North Kingshighway at its intersection with Laclede in St. Louis when the defendant caused the vehicle she was driving to collide with plaintiff's vehicle. She alleges she sustained injuries and damages in an amount of more than $75,000.

The plaintiff holds Martin responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently attempted to make a left hand turn when it was unsafe to do so, failed to maintain a careful lookout and failed to yield to oncoming vehicles.

The plaintiff seeks damages in the sum of $75,000, plus interest, costs and any further relief as the court may deem just and proper. She is represented by David R. Gamache and Donald A. Horowitz of Gamache & Myers PC in Crestwood, Missouri.
